The 2030 Agenda proposes a series of objectives that guide the actions of governments, societies and companies around the world. Ending hunger in the most disadvantaged regions, achieving effective equality between men and women, combating climate change and its effects and promoting healthy lifestyles among citizens are some of them.

These purposes are known as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and are a total of seventeen. They include 169 goals of an integrated and indivisible nature to ensure that the goals set across the board in the economic, social and environmental fields are achieved by 2030.

For this reason, the alliance between Plataforma del Voluntariado de España, Fundación LaLiga and Plataforma del Tercer Sector was created, and as a result of this union, a guide was created to assist organizations to direct their steps towards the achievement of the SDGs: the Volunteer Guide.

Of course, both sport and volunteering play a key role and are recognised as key agents and tools that will enable us to achieve the goals set out in the Agenda on a global scale. For example, those set with regard to health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, among others.
